Crypto.com accidentally transfered $10.5M to client instead of $100 refund

Two Melbourne women received AUD$10.5 million deposit from Singaporean crypto exchange Crypto.com after an error in issuing an AUD$100 refund. An employee allegedly typed an account number in the payment section, resulting in an erroneous transfer to their bank account.

After filing a lawsuit, the Victoria Supreme Court recently ruled that the funds must be returned to the company. However, it turns out that Manivel has already spent AUD$1.35 million worth of the funds on a five-bedroom luxury home in Craigieburn.

Protocol upgrade accidentally freezes ETH on Compound for 7 days

Compound Finance, a borrowing and lending platform, executed a governance proposal updating its Chainlink price feeds that contained a code error. This code error is causing people lending and borrowing cETH (Compound ETH) to have their transactions reverted.

This means users cannot borrow or withdraw collateral. Users still will be able to repay debt and add collateral to borrowed positions with other assets to avoid potential liquidation.

A new governance proposal has been put forward to revert to the formerly used price feeds will take seven days to go into effect.
