There's a current power struggle on twitter between the Miners and the Ethereum faithful as the Merge comes closer, a merge that will migrate the Ethereum from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake. The move means that Ethereum will become 99% more energy efficient thereby reducing its impact on the planet and fostering the adoption of Ethereum. Some people have said it'll lead to putting power in the hands of the rich as to partake in Ethereum Validation under PoS you need to hold 32 ETH but a counter argument is it costs about that to continously run a minning rig.

Our Take: PoS is the perfect move and the only reason there's a debate is because Miners know once the merge happens they won't be able to profit from ETH destroying the planet anymore as it'll become 99% more enrgy efficient

In Q1 tinder announced its plans to build a tinderverse and also launch it Tinder coin, Which would be a way to meet people and go on dates virtually, it'll be a good way to scope people out before comitting to an in person date but due to low earnings report tinder has slashed their web3 budget so there might be a delay to your virtual loving plans One of the heads at Tinder, Kim said “I believe a Metaverse dating experience is important to capture the next generation of users [...] However, given uncertainty about the ultimate contours of the Metaverse and what will or won’t work […] I’ve instructed the Hyperconnect team to iterate but not invest heavily in [the] Metaverse at this time.”

Our Take: The year is 2050 and you are getting married with an Oculus Headset on in your IRL panties but Metaverse suit you bought from the Gucci metaverse store, saying words to a another person dressed about the same as you!
